The South American football club known as Colo-Colo ply their trade in Macul, Santiago in Chile. This famous club is recognized as Chile’s most successful football team, winning the Primera División a record 32 times – nearly double that of the closest competitor on 18, Universidad de Chile.

The background of their badge revolves around one renown figure – the Mapuche chieftain Colocolo, who was said to have led the Arauco War against the Spanish empire in the 1560’s. The team name and badge is therefore a nod to the indigenous people of Chile.
