Only about 11,000 or so miles away from last week’s badge of the week comes one of the leading teams in New Zealand’s Stirling Sports Premiership – Auckland City FC. The centrepiece of the club’s badge shows New Zealand’s tallest man-made structure, the Sky Tower in Auckland – where visitors can go for panoramic views of the city, or even bungee jumping.

Auckland City FC also have a rather special mascot, known as Cam the Kiwi. It was named after Cameron Jones, one of the founders of the Auckland City FC Supporters Club. He was a longtime supporter of the club who sadly passed away in 2006 after a battle with illness, and the mascot was named in his honour. It remains a club tradition that the youngest member of the team looks after Cam the Kiwi during away fixtures.
