Fantasy football managers across the land will be hoping for another Jamie Vardy party over the festive period – and his club Leicester City F.C. feature today as our Badge of the Week.

The team’s badge and nickname take inspiration from Leicestershire’s historical affiliation with foxes and fox hunting, with the animal first seen on the crest in 1948. Behind the fox is a white flower known as a white cinquefoil, or Potentilla alba, which can also be seen on the Leicestershire Coat of Arms.
