Doncaster Rovers F.C. ply their trade at the 15,000 seat Keepmoat Stadium, competing in League One of the English football league system.

For years, the team used the local coat of arms for their badge, until eventually the Doncaster Council removed permission to do so. In the 1960’s a competition was held to design a new badge, and a group of students proved victorious with the now-iconic ‘Viking’ badge. Asides from the prominent Viking in view (which came to be known as ‘The Turk’s Head’), the badge also incorporates a Yorkshire white rose in reference to the club’s location, and a red-and-white combo for the club colours.
